LeadLink AI ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your data when you use our Chrome extension ("Extension") and related services.

## 1. Data We Collect
We collect the following data when you use the Extension:
- **LinkedIn Profile Data**: When you extract a LinkedIn profile, we collect publicly available information such as name, title, connections, location, about section, and experiences, as provided by the LinkedIn website.
- **User ID**: A unique identifier is generated for your device to track your usage (e.g., lead counts, premium status).
- **Usage Data**: Information about how you interact with the Extension, such as lead extractions and exports.
- **Payment Data**: If you purchase a premium plan, we collect payment information via Stripe, but we do not store credit card details.

## 2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- Provide the core functionality of the Extension, such as extracting and analyzing LinkedIn profiles, generating lead scores, and creating outreach messages.
- Manage your account, including tracking lead counts and premium credits.
- Process payments securely through Stripe.
- Improve the Extension by analyzing usage patterns (anonymized and aggregated).

## 3. Data Storage and Security
- **Storage**: Profile data and user IDs are stored in a secure PostgreSQL database hosted on Aiven with SSL encryption.
- **Retention**: Profile data (leads) is retained until you delete it using the "Delete My Data" button or for as long as necessary to provide the service. Free users' data is limited to 10 leads, with older leads automatically deleted when the limit is reached. Your user ID and usage data (e.g., lead count, premium status) are retained to enforce usage limits even after you delete your leads.
- **Security**: We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and secure APIs. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

## 4. Data Sharing
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties, except:
- With service providers like Stripe (for payment processing) and Google (for AI insights via the Gemini API), who are contractually obligated to protect your data.
- If required by law or to protect our rights.

## 5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- **Access**: Request a copy of your data via export (CSV format).
- **Delete**: Delete all your lead data using the "Delete My Data" button in the Extension. Note that your user ID and usage limits (e.g., lead count) will be retained to maintain service consistency.
- **Opt-Out**: Disable data collection by uninstalling the Extension and deleting your lead data.

## 6. LinkedIn Terms of Service
The Extension extracts publicly available LinkedIn profile data with your consent. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with LinkedIn's Terms of Service, as unauthorized scraping may violate their policies.

## 7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here, and the effective date will be updated. Continued use of the Extension constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
